Tuscan country style: The Farmhouse Il Villino lies on the green Chianti hills and is the ideal place to enjoy a holiday in close contact with Nature. The original farm has belonged to the Bracco family since 1947 and has been recently restored to allow our guests to make the most of the tuscan countryside atmosphere and to experience country life in comfort. Thru renovation of the old barn and the main Villa, we have created three in Tuscan style exclusive apartments, where you can enjoy your holiday under the tuscan sun. Without losing sight of the original family vocation, production of olive oil and "Chianti classico" wine is still central to our farming activities.

Staying in an ancient Tuscan villa: Located on the upper floor of the ancient Main Villa, recently restored in original Tuscan style, we find an entire floor that houses a large apartment suitable for families or groups of friends.

Staying at Agriturismo Il Villino is an opportunity to visit medieval towns (such as Siena, Monteriggioni and San Gimignano), enjoy spectacular landscapes among vineyards and woods, churches and monasteries. Il Villino is located in the open countryside. To reach us it is highly advised to use a car.

Cooking Class: At Il Villino we offer private cooking classes. The chef comes to your apartment and you will learn how to cook a traditional Tuscan meal. Classes can be organised for lunch or diner.
Private Chef Service: Perfect for special occasions, family get togethers, anniversaries or birthday dinners or lunches, our Private Chef can meet any of your request. The chef comes to your apartment to prepare the Tuscan specialties, starting from homemade pasta (you might learn some tricks of the trade) and continuing with meat roasts and grandma's desserts. In case of any food allergies or preferences, just let us know.

The Agricultural Company: The Farmhouse Il Villino is located in the Chianti Classico Gallo Nero area, a short distance from Castellina in Chianti, at an altitude close to 600 meters above sea level. The property covers over 40 hectares, 4,5 of which are vineyards and 2 are olive groves. The remaining part consists in woods and old pastures. In our Cellar we produce two kind of wines: a Chianti Classico DOCG and a Red Tuscan IGT (Protected Geographical Indication). The company produces a very good Olive Oil too. When spending a holiday at the Farmhouse Il Villino you might have the opportunity, depending on the time of year, to observe the various stages of production and maturation process of either the wine making or the olive harvest.
From our vineyards in the heart of Chianti, a very good red wine. The vineyards have a south-east exposure and the land, as a peculiar feature of the area, is a predominantly skeleton and clayey-marmosa matrix. San Giovese, Merlot and Cabernet grapes are grown in our vineyards. With a deep ruby color, with light garnet hues, the wine produced has a wide and intense aroma, with notes of small black berries, marasca fruits and with a pleasant hint of noble wood and vanilla. Dry taste, well structured, austere and elegant, with good harmony between tannic and acidic components and those responsible for softness (alcohol and glycerine), has excellent persistence on the palate.
The golden nectar of our Olives: The olives are harvested by hand by burning in order to keep the integrity of the drupes to the maximum and avoid the initiation of oxidative processes that would compromise the quality of the extracted oil. Thanks above all to the type of soil and the altitude of the olive groves, to the manual harvesting and to the cold extraction in the oil mill, the oil obtained has an extraordinarily fruity smell and taste and an excellent ability to preserve itself over time. It is an oil with very low acidity (0.2% at the origin), of an intense yellow / green color, distinctly fruity and at the same time delicate, slightly spicy and herbaceous with a pleasant bitter aftertaste.
