THE FARM

The farmhouse Trefossata is on Monte Amiata in the town of Abbadia San Salvatore, in the Province of Siena. It’s set 700 mt. Above see level and yet only 2,5 km from the town centre, it’s immersed in a 60 acres wood. The farmhouse is open year round, it has a big garden with veranda and patio with a playground where you may have breakfast, weather permitting. It’s ideal for the person that want to live in contact with the nature, having however all the comforts. At only 10 km there are the thermal baths “Bagni San Filippo”, famous for the water’s property and pure surroundings.
In may,june and july is possible to take a bath in the torrents that across the landed plunging in the natural swimming-pool that characterize the waterway.unforgettable experience.

THE ACCOMMODATION

It is equipped with four queen rooms or double, all with bathroom – is possible overnight stay and breakast – possibility to use washing machine and dryer

ACTIVITIES AND SURROUNDINGS

Horses box
our facility has 6 boxes situated in masoned stalls with paddock with electric fence, so we are able to host any clients arriving to us by horse, crossing tuscany on horsetrails, or who wish to stay at our facility to discover the paths of Amiata.
Agriturismo Trefossata is located just on via Francigena – stage 36 variant to Abbadia San Salvatore – far two km from the medieval village.

PRODUCTS

Trefossata owns some olive trees that are located in “Le Lavinate – Campiglia d’Orcia – Castiglione d’Orcia –”. This area is well-known for olive growing and that is due to different environmental aspects such as the exposure, the climate, the altitude, the precipitations, the soil etc. All these factors contribute to limit the olive trees’diseases and to improve the production and the quality of the extra virgin olive oil.
