The farm
Originated in the middle ages as a way station for the pilgrims heading to Rome, Montefreddo was held by the canons of the Cathedral of Orvieto until it was acquired by the Bologna family in the 19th century. Within the hamlet are two cosy and bright apartments, CASA CHIANELLA and CASA SILOS each with windows on the countryside or the yard. The guests of the apartment share the panoramic swimming pool and the the former farmyard now organized with BBQ and tables to enjoy al fresco dinners during the warm summer nights
The accommodation
Casa Silos is set in the heart of the hamlet with views on meadows and olive groves. Its welcoming rooms, that used to keep the wheat harvested in the farm, have been converted into a cozy apartment for four. The soft, natural colours of the interiors and the traditional country furnishing create a magically serene atmosphere.
Casa Chianella is set in one of the oldest buildings of the estate. Even if it is an apartment, it is as spacious as a villa and features a terrace with pergola that offers an incomparable view all year round.
