We are surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and oak woods but at the same time only a few minutes distance from the historical township of Castellina in Chianti. The farmhouse is itself situated on the antique stone terraces which for centuries have surrounded the town and on which grow our olive trees.
Being a protected faunistic area set aside for the repopulation of wild animals, one is able to admire the wildlife typical of this territory especially at dusk, deer, wildboar, pheasant, hare and birdlife all live undisturbed on the property.
Owned and run by our family, the property offers our guests a warm and welcome enviroment in which to enjoy typical tuscan hospitality and enjoy genuine produce such as our own extra virgin olive oil, grapes, fruit and vegetables in season all produced by ourselves.

The farm
Positioned between Siena and Florence, Godenano di mezzo is the ideal starting point for your sightseeing and is central in respect to some of the more important artistic and cultural attractions in Tuscany : Florence, Siena, Monteriggioni, Colle Val D’Elsa, Volterra, San Gimignano, Volterra and Certaldo. All of which and more are easily reached by means of various routes.
The farmhouse dwelling dates back to medieval times and has been carefully restored using materials from that era and tecniques original to that time. It is almost entirely in bioedilizia respecting the original characteristics and structure of the buildings.
The result of this work is a harmonious and comfortable enviroment which provides three apartments selectly decorated with traditional rural tuscan furnishings. A fourth apartment “The barn” is to be completed.

The accommodation
All the apartments are light and airy and have beautiful views from the windows. They also have wooden beamed ceilings and terracotta floors.
All the apartments are independent, each with it’s own private entrance, kitchenette with microwave, dishwasher and fridge, satellite TV, free internet connection (Wi-Fi) and hairdryer.
Activities and surroundings
The surrounding countryside is ideal for enjoying nature, relaxing or walking and trekking the Via Romea which crosses our property and admiring the beautiful panorama across the Elsa Valley towards the hills of Monteriggioni, Colle Val D’Elsa, Casole D’Elsa and the towers of San Gimignano.
The town of Castellina in Chianti can be found at just a 10 minute walk from our property where you can find all you need to complete your holiday, Quaint squares and walks, Shops, Supermarket, Bars and Cafès, Restaurants and Pizzerias , Galleries and Wine cellars.
